People across Kirklees will continue to have access to services across the festive period although some opening times and delivery of the services will change on some dates.
Our contact centre for services will be open throughout the holiday period and is available by filling in our online referral form. Please note Thriving Kirklees is not an emergency health service so if you require urgent medical help please contact NHS 111 or call 999 as appropriate.
Please see below details for various services:
0-19 Team (Health Visiting and School Nursing) – The service will not be available on 25th, 26th and 28th of December and 1st of January. For online help and advice during this period
Chathealth – Our Chathealth text message service will continue to be available Monday to Friday in line with the 0-19 Team hours outlined above.
Kooth – Kooth.com is an anonymous, online counselling and support service for children and young people, accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use. It’s available for 10-19 year olds in Kirklees and is open 365 days a year. More details at www.kooth.com
Home-start Kirklees – The offices will be closed from Wednesday 23rd of December until Monday 4th of January.
Families who are already supported by Homestart are being given contact details of who to contact if they need help during the times the offices are closed.
Yorkshire Children’s Centre – The offices will be closed from 24th December 2020 and will reopen 4th January 2021.
Contact numbers and information on support services over the festive period are being shared with families supported by YCC.
Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust – The offices will close at 4pm on 24th December and will re-open at 8am on 29th December. The offices will also be closed on 1st January. Full details are available here.
SWYFT – The general CAMHS service will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and reopen at 9am on the 29th December, it will be closed again on 1st January.
The CAMHS Crisis Team will continue to operate between 9am and 8pm every day, this will also include the crisis support line which will be operating from 3 pm on Christmas Eve until 8pm and then 9 am until 8pm on the Bank Holidays and weekend days.
